Your first look is one of those moments that lets you slow down and simply be together. As a photographer, these are some of my favorite moments to capture because nothing feels forced. There's just genuine emotion, anticipation, and candid reactions. I would always recommend building time into your wedding timeline for this private moment together before your ceremony!

Pro tip: Having a first look will also allow us to knock out Mr. and Mrs. portraits early, which means more time for you after the ceremony to actually enjoy cocktail hour and be present with your guests.

Choosing who will help you get ready for your wedding day is an underrated yet important decision! This is a special moment when you transform into a bride for the first time, so it’s crucial to select your helper wisely. Maybe it’s your mom who zips up your dress, buckles the straps on your heels, and fastens the clasp of your necklace. Or maybe it’s your maid of honor or bridesmaids who nestle your veil into your hair and fluff out the train of your dress.

No matter who you choose to be by your side, it’ll truly be a moment you’ll never forget. 🤍

Dancing on a cloud lit up by golden twinkle lights with a view of the lake: Now that truly is paradise! It’s these moments of pure wedding magic that make the day feel so surreal. My number one goal on a wedding day is to make sure you enjoy every moment! You’ve worked so hard to plan a dream day and you deserve to soak up every second without worrying about a thing!

So if there’s one piece of advice I have for you on your wedding day, it’s to trust in your wedding vendors, roll with the punches, and simply enjoy your first few hours of being married!

Don’t forget the details! As you’re booking your wedding vendors and planning the day’s festivities, don’t underestimate the importance of the little, meaningful details that make the day your own. It could be a bouquet charm with a picture of a loved one, handwritten thank you notes at every place setting, cocktail napkins with an illustration of your dog, a monogrammed cake topper… The possibilities are truly endless to customize your wedding in your own unique way!

M&R are a duo as timeless and classic as their wedding! Their neutral wedding color palette and white floral accents set the stage for a stunning, joy-filled day. But it was each of their smiles that really stood out to me on the day of, from the first time their eyes met walking down the aisle to the moment they became husband and wife!
