With great sadness, we share Brittany Lindquist, the owner and founder of I Do Details Weddings + Events, passed away peacefully on June 11, 2025. In her final hours, she was surrounded by the love of family and friends. It is no coincidence Brittany’s professional passion was wedding planning. Bringing a celebration of love to life for her clients and their families was one of her greatest joys, and she always considered it the highest privilege to be part of a couple’s special day.

The love that surrounded Brittany in her final hours is a testament to the love she shared with everyone, selflessly and authentically, throughout her life. She cultivated a community of friends and family whom she loved dearly, and in turn, their love and support sustains us.

As we all know, there was no bigger fan of flowers than Brittany. However, for this occasion, in lieu of flowers, we ask that you honor Brittany by donating to one of the following causes:

Sweet Carly + Jesse captured here by the uber talented just warms my heart into a puddle.

There are few people with a heart like Carly’s. I’m so thankful to have been given the gift of helping her plan her wedding + for all the trust she put in me to help her make the right decisions for her special day, all while always offering to pray for me through the process.

Jesse was wise when he locked in on this one-of-a-kind gal! I can’t wait to see where life takes these two!!✨

Saturday’s Wedding for Carly + Jesse was as sweet + loving as they come.

It was so fun to play with a bright, beautiful floral palette for two weekends in a row! I especially loved the light blue taper candles throughout the room.

While most people assume candles are a less expensive way to adorn the centerpieces of tables, they quickly realize that candles have become an integral layer to centerpieces + costs are reflecting that.

However, choosing something like we did for Carly + Jesse was a way to make a big impact that made the expense worth it.

Just a girl + the sweetest besties 🫶🏼

Choosing a wedding party can sometimes be right up there in stress with budget + number of of guests to invite. I’ve had clients who have lost (supposed) friends when not selected as part of the wedding party.

I’ll never forget what my cousin said to me after I’d made my selections for my own wedding. She said to me, “Standing by your side is a privilege. I’d wear a paper bag if that’s what you wanted. None of those details really matter. What matters is we are there to support you + Erik as you embark on a journey of sacrificial love.”

That’s always stayed with me. Now, when clients ask how they should handle tricky bridesmaid situations, my directive is clear. Who is truly going to be by your side when things get hard?

Bridesmaids aren’t a popularity contest. They have purpose, + honestly, great responsibility beyond the wedding. Choose wisely. 🤍

🎶🎵One of my favorite ideas the Greer’s brought to me was for the ceremony musicians to be a pianist + small ensemble.

As the final prelude song, the ensemble sang ‘It is Well with my Soul’ to prepare our hearts for the ceremony.

As the mothers + wedding party processed, we set the tone of how integral a ceremony is to a wedding by the ensemble singing ‘We Are Standing on Holy Ground.’

Then it was Lucy + her dad, Russ’ turn. They very sweetly, with the gentlest steps, met Collin at the chancel to the piano instrumental of ‘Can’t Help Falling in Love’.

Sometimes ceremony music is completely overlooked. Sometimes it’s all your ‘traditional’ songs played at weddings. But once-in-a-blue-moon, you have a client who really wants to hit the mark in an extra special way. Lucy + Collin’s selections may just go down as my favorite of all time.

Just a little reminder… the details matter. People notice them. They’re always worth trying to incorporate. 🎶🎵

The magic of getting to style a table that will be surrounded by people you hold dearest to your heart will always fill me with joy.

In my eyes, when you make selections on linens + chargers + glassware + small, thoughtful touches like how guests know their specifically selected place at the table, you are showing the importance of their role of being not only present in that moment, but in your life.

Lucy + Collin’s tablescape was a dream to curate. So much thought + consideration was put into each detail. From the hand-embroidered name ribbon, to the shape of the wine glass, it all had to be perfectly inviting.

We loved working with + on these elements.

I don’t even know where to begin with Lucy + Collin’s flawlessly stunning day.

For starters, they lived in London for the duration of our planning. Lucy’s sister also got married earlier this year. But this dear + precious family was so filled with joy + love that somehow, we pulled off one of the most beautiful weddings, not only of my career, but that I’ve ever seen.

There are details layered throughout that were thoughtfully dreamt + procured. But what I can’t get past is that, for the first time in my career, I was unable to actually be physically present for the ex*****on of everything. My team of well-trained, selfless people stepped in for me in ways I thought I could never allow.

Our vendor team collaborated so beautifully that it felt as though. We had our very own Dream Team.

I’m truly in awe… of the Greer + Powell families + the many, many hands that touched this wedding.
