These are entirely handmade including the glowing cards. Gambit’s jacket is an upholstery vinyl with airbrushing and a silk lining at the sleeves (I get asked about that a lot).

Alright, I have uploaded the demon dog embroidery files on my website and will soon have physical patches available as well! You can find the link in my bio.

Please bear with me as I’ve tried to download as many formats as I could think for this but am unsure how they perform on other machines. I imagine just the same but 🤷‍♀️

Last year, I had the honor of bringing Bunny to PAX East for The First Descendant ! She was a massive team effort, and I was so happy to meet and greet hundreds of con guests over the weekend.

I did most of the final fabrication, assembly, painting, attachments, wig, etc. and of course…allllll of the backend contract work, scheduling, managing, WEARING, and content! Oof!

This is my favorite type of job, though. Making a costume to wear at a convention to interact with guests!

The “Medicine Seller” is a deadly and mysterious master of the occult who travels across feudal Japan in search of malevolent spirits called “mononoke” to slay.

He’s also kind of a fashion icon.

Hi, you new here?

My name is Candace. I go by Plexi. She/her, but I cosplay a lot of male-presenting characters. I think it stems from a feeling of wanting to become the things I admired most, and for a while, it was androgynous floppy hair men. Still is sometimes, but I love my mommies too.

Anyway, I spend a lot of my time making video game related costumes, although you may have seen my work in the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, etc for pop culture stuff like Kpop Demon Hunters props.

I am an international cosplay judge, and I am a teacher of workshops. I manage a library makerspace and teaching kitchen while also being employed by game companies and conventions on a contract basis.

My favorite quote is, “Life is no brief candle to me. It is a sort of splendid torch which I have got hold of for the moment and I want to make it burn as brightly as possible before handing it on to future generations.”

I believe in kindness, willingness to change opinion in the face of new information, and great work ethic.

I turn 40 next year. I am an elder cosplayer, so I go to bed early at conventions and slam Sport Beans to power through.
