During the first look, Tanner turned around on the veranda, and that grin told us how the rest of the day was going to go.

Then there was the pup, Link. He wore a tuxedo, took his place under the arch for the family portrait, and had his face on the cocktail napkins. Demie and Tanner knew exactly who the guest of honor was.

Everything else was October at its best: burgundy and gold under the oaks at Sterling Event Venue, trees rising out of the reception tables, a first dance inside a shower of sparks, and a dance floor with Demie right in the middle of it all night.

Demie and Tanner, thank you for letting us in close. You made it so easy.

Maddison and Jimmy didn't tone anything down, and that's exactly what made their wedding day so special.

R2-D2 rolled down the aisle as ring bearer (bow tie and all). A T-Rex held the welcome sign. They said their vows under a full moon at the Orlando Science Center. And their first dance? It opened with a lightsaber duel before it ever became a choreographed first dance.

Our favorite detail might be the smallest one. Maddison has a dragon tattoo on her shoulder, and for the wedding she traced its wings with tiny pearls so it matched her crown and her dress. She didn't cover it up. She dressed it up.

That's the whole story of these two. Every choice looked like them: the leaf crown, the elven brooch on Jimmy's lapel, the green and gold everywhere, a room full of people who clearly knew exactly who they were celebrating. Nothing borrowed from a Pinterest board. All of it theirs.

Maddison and Jimmy, thank you for letting us be part of something this honest. May the Force be with you both. 💚

Shelby & Jacob gave us a tropical paradise on the shores of Lake Bryan, and we are obsessed! 🌺✨

The lush blooms, the lakeside first kiss, that jaw-dropping bouquet, the neon sign, the outfit change, the LIFT on the dance floor; every single moment was pure magic. These two brought all the joy and none of the nerves, and it showed in every frame.

People ask us all the time — how do you get shots like that?

The honest answer: it's not luck. It's not some magical moment we happened to catch.

Every portrait that looks candid started somewhere. A word we said. A direction we gave. A setup we built before we ever lifted the camera.

And then — we get out of the way.

That's the whole thing. We create the conditions for a real moment, and then we stop being photographers and start being invisible. What happens next is theirs. We just make sure we don't miss it.
