Today’s board member spotlight is on Jon Hughes, Co-Owner of Track Shack and EMMI.

A longtime leader in the running community, Jon has spent decades organizing athletic events in Central Florida and around the world. He has served as Race Director of the Walt Disney World Marathon since its inception in 1994 and has been recognized for his lasting contributions to the sport with multiple hall of fame inductions. Jon and the Track Shack team also played a critical role in the success of the 2024 U.S. Olympic Team Trials - Marathon hosted in Orlando.

Today's board member spotlight is on Stephanie Howell, Senior Director of Community Affairs for Valencia College.

Stephanie leverages her expertise in law and public affairs to build strong partnerships that advance Valencia College's mission and benefit the Central Florida community. She is a past Orlando Business Journal “Forty Under 40” honoree, served as a Leadership Steward for Leadership Orlando, and is active in the community through board service.

What a year for Celebrating Women in Sports. 🏆

The numbers tell part of the story, but what made our 8th Annual Celebrating Women in Sports Luncheon & Auction so special were the people behind them.

To every attendee, sponsor, award recipient, bidder, volunteer and partner who showed up and helped make this year one to remember: thank you. We’re incredibly grateful for this community and everything we accomplished together.

Today’s board member spotlight is on Dr. John Gyllin, who will become the next President and CEO of Leadership Florida on October 15, 2026!

John brings nearly three decades of leadership experience in higher education, fundraising, and community engagement. Most recently, he served as Vice President of Resource & Economic Development at Seminole State College and Executive Director of the Foundation for Seminole State College of Florida, where he helped strengthen partnerships, grow philanthropic resources, and support student success.
