🤿 Divers! Have you noticed a surge in the prices of dive trips? Here's why and what you can do. 👇
In 2022, Congress broke the insurance market for small dive, snorkel, and tour boat operators. Sport fishing and large cruise operators were exempted. As a direct result, dive centers, day-boat operators, dive training organizations, and dive travel providers are paying dramatically higher fees.
❗❗ In order to meet basic operating costs, some store and boat owners have reluctantly passed price increases onto customers—divers, just like you—resulting in more expensive dive, dive travel, and training prices here in the U.S.
The DIVE BOAT Act would fix the prior Congress's mistake and help bring down prices if enacted. Even if you've helped before, we have a NEW Congress with NEW LEADERS and need to bring this critical issue back to lawmakers' attention!
