As you can all imagine, the chairpersons—Anne Hall, Becky Chapman, Megan Hickey Miller, Lisa Petri, Deirdre Penk O’Donnell and I—are all breathing a sigh of relief now that NAIDC 2026 is finished.
On behalf of my committee I would like to thank all the parents and teachers for their support of this event. We certainly enjoyed the highest standard of Irish dance excellence at this competition.
Thank you to our musicians who performed with the most inspiring music, filling our hearts with the joy of Irish music and inspiring the dancers to enjoy their performance and shine on that stage.
A huge thank you to all of our assessors for the hours of work and diligence required to assess dancers from beginner champions all the way to the highest level of expertise that competitive Irish dance offers.
Thank you to the Rosen Centre for their professional staff and the beautiful facility they provide. It was perfect for our event.
As we all know, creating a thank-you list for an event this size is almost impossible due to the fear of leaving someone out. Therefore, I want to make one specific thank you that I regrettably omitted during our closing ceremony: to Kristin Butke Zagorski and Steve Zagorski for their hours of work on our awards committee.
I would like to thank each of our seven regions for all the work that their members did over the week. It seemed like most had a good time and that was our goal!
