You know, being a small business owner + Wedding Planner is not always easy. The journey to opening this business, to hitting 5 years and now having has been an absolute world-wind of emotions.
Listening to Eldest Daughter, by my close friend , really hit me hard. It isn’t just for all the eldest daughters out there, but for me it’s a reminder that even when the world feels heavy, you are strong, you are fearless, and you can accomplish absolutely anything you dream of.
I used to picture taking “little Kelsey” by the hand when facing tough moments, knowing that it might be scary but we’ve got this! Psychotic? Maybe. But sometimes you need that extra bit of inner support to push through.
Now, I have an incredible husband, a supportive team, and two thriving businesses that bring so much joy to me and our amazing couples. But I still think of her, that little girl, and I know she’d be so proud of how far we’ve come.
Here’s to the dreamers, the doers, and the eldest daughters who carry it all with grace (and maybe a few tears). 🩷
Between both Simply Enchanted Events and Golden Hour Events, this journey is proof that believing in yourself changes everything. 🥹
