The Illinois Kids Wrestling Federation mourns the passing of Patricia “Pat” Urwin, a longtime member of the IKWF family whose dedication and service touched generations of wrestlers, coaches, and families.
For more than 40 years, Pat dedicated countless hours to the IKWF State Championships, most notably as the head calligrapher for the championship bracket boards. Her attention to detail, pride in the accomplishments of our young athletes, and genuine care for every wrestler became a lasting part of the State Championship tradition.
Pat’s legacy will continue to live on through the thousands of wrestlers whose names she carefully placed on those boards and through the many people she touched along the way.
Our deepest condolences go out to Mike Urwin, the entire Urwin family, and all who had the privilege of knowing Pat.
Thank you, Pat, for everything you gave to the IKWF. You will be remembered and missed.
