" Divination - the other reason besides babies that kept the ancient Maya calendar alive up to our times. In 1977, I was initiated in a remote part of Guatemala by a K'iche Maya diviner or "day keeper" and learned the significance and symbolism of this 4000 year old system of days and numbers. I will bring my table and do a series of divinations for those who wish to see how they are done, or have a pressing question. I will share a few stories of how this experience has changed my perceptions and view of time and space, and especially "the random" and free will, while living w the Maya for some years. All are welcome to peek into the mystery."
