💐 Happy Mother’s Day!!! 💐
On this beautiful Spring Sunday, people all over the world are taking the time to celebrate their mothers!! 🩷 But did you know that people all over the world celebrate their mothers differently???
In Australia, Mother’s Day is celebrated with people gifting their moms some chrysanthemum flowers, which also known as “mums.” 🌸
In Peru, while they still gift their mothers flowers, cards, and gifts, they also gather in cemeteries to celebrate. Why? So they can honor the mothers, aunts, and grandmothers who have since passed away. 💖
In Mexico, children (both young and adult) will tend to spend Mother’s Day Eve in their mother’s home. Then in the morning, mother’s will be given gifts of cards and flowers, and sometimes a live mariachi band to play the song “Las Mananitas.” 🎶
It doesn’t matter if you like to give gifts, take them for brunch, do chores, or hire a live band to serenade them. As long as you’re showing your mother how much you care, that’s all that matters.
