Last Tuesday, we had the opportunity to step into someone else’s shoes, and for many of us, the experience was eye-opening.
Impact Clay was proud to bring the Meet A.L.I.C.E. Experience to Clay County, an interactive simulation designed to help participants better understand the difficult choices faced every day by A.L.I.C.E. households: Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed.
Participants were challenged to navigate everyday expenses, unexpected obstacles, limited resources, and difficult financial decisions. What may look manageable on paper quickly became complicated, frustrating, and at times overwhelming. The experience sparked meaningful conversations and offered a powerful reminder that many hardworking families in our community are just one unexpected expense away from crisis.
