Malik “M Joe” Joseph is a young producer/rapper/director born in Los Angeles and raised in Long Beach, California. M Joe began his rap career at the age of 16 by writing his lyrics in his notebook and rapping with his friends after school. When he graduated from Long Beach Polytechnic High School, he moved out of state and went to school at Texas Southern University in Houston, Texas to major in p

sychology. When he was in college, he started to take his music career more serious and changed his major to business administration. He started his own record label called Money Major$ and started recording his music, videos, and creating his mix tapes himself. In September of 2012, he dropped his first mixtape called "On My Way To The Top" which included his single “Shake Twerk” and “Cali to Houston”. His hip hop influences include rappers like Ice Cube,Snoop Dogg, Eminem, 2pac, Dr. Dre,Nas, and Jay-Z.
