I had the pleasure of working with Aimee on her early June Wedding. She collected vintage milk vases and I provided the remaining decor- which included chair covers, glass items, battery candles and gold taper candles with glass chimneys. I also had the pleasure of being the day of coordinator. I don’t always get to be a part of the actual celebration, but it was an honor to make sure the day went as planned.

I always like a new challenge. I was shown a Pinterest wish photo and made my first floor-flower arch for the ceremony!! It was also my first time at Riverview Barn .

Our Begining

This dream took seed in high school where I started as a wedding photographer. I then graduated with a degree in Art and Psychology. Soon after I was blessed to plan and decorate my own wedding! I have always enjoyed the beauty of balance & find great enjoyment when I find that perfect item to complete a composition. So as the years went by I never missed an opportunity to help friends & family decorate for events & their homes. So my beginning has complimented this exciting endeavor in every way!

Though my business is young, so much of my life has led up to this! So I am excited to say we specialize in wedding décor, but our goal is to bring elegance & simplicity to your day in any way we can. Our hope is that we can be a great resource for a DIY event, where you just need a little help to complete your day. But we also have the ability to provide for “all inclusive” events where you want to show up and not have to worry about a thing!

This big adventure, as I have been calling it, officially started in the Fall of 2018, after purchasing the inventory from Elegant Florals/Marilyn Dekkers. During 2019 I will also be Marilyn’s “apprentice”, learning her extensive 20+ year knowledge of fresh flower arrangements.

And Something Borrowed is a rental business by definition. However, we aspire to be so much more. Our extensive inventory and creativity allows us to design each element needed to create the atmosphere that you desire. We offer, but are not limited to the following Rentals:
