Helllooooo Wednesday night poker players! This week I mentioned that August is going to be a little crazy for poker so I want to give you the schedule so everyone can plan ahead. I'm sorry for the couple of date changes, but I hope to see you all there and thank you all so much for coming out with us each week!

After week 5 of 10 (July 23rd, 2025) of the "Chip and a Chair Invitational", we saw a pretty cool final table in the first game. I'm not going to lie, I should have won the first game! The final four had me up against Charlotte L., Val J., and Dar A. who, if you don't know, are all close relations. I had a huge chip lead, and I played a part in taking out two of the final three, but Dar A. put together some crazy comeback and took me down. Nice work Dar! In the second game we saw Ryan B. get hand after hand AFTER hand AFTER HAND!!! He couldn't miss and he was making the right calls when he needed to. We would like to honor Travis H. and Charlotte L. with the second place ribbons this week.

At the end of the 10 weeks we will have an invitational of the players that have the title of "qualified" below. You automatically qualify for the invitational if you win a game. After week 4 of 10 (July 16th, 2025) of the "Chip and a Chair Invitational", we saw Big Sug start to run away with this leaderboard. Another win and two bounties. We need to pick it up or his tournament starting stack will be crazy! I want to thank Darin P. for running the first game for me as I couldn't be there, and I heard that I missed quite the battle between Big Sug and Tim K. for the first game. For the second game, I came in and lucked into a few large pots. Mike Bra. probably played better cards than me, but I just got them when it mattered. We would like to honor Tim K. and Mike Bra. with the second place ribbons this week.

After week 3 of 10 (July 9th, 2025) of the "Chip and a Chair Invitational", we saw a first time winner. We haven't had one of those in awhile and it was great to see! Josiah L. played some SOLID cards and fought off a nice comeback attempt from Ryan B. Josiah has only played with us a few times, but we loved having him while he was in town visiting! Come back anytime Josiah! In the second game we saw "Second Place Sug", bring home the trophy by sending Mike Bu. home with the ribbon this week. Sug came ready to play this week and he couldn't be stopped! We would like to honor Ryan B. and Mike Bu. with the second place ribbons this week.

After week 1 of 10 (June 25th, 2025) of the "Chip and a Chair Invitational", we saw me get locked into the tournament (because it's a long night when you aren't in the tourney) in the first game. I'm going to be honest, I hate playing against Tim K. (as a compliment) because you just never know what he has. Any win against him is one to hold dearly. In the second game we saw Mike Bu. start his chain of wins (spoiler alert...there is more coming). Nice work sir! Also, we had a new player join us so a huge thanks to Rod for coming out and we hope to see you again soon! Thank you all so much for coming out! After week 10 of 10 (June 18th, 2025) of the "Chip and a Chair Invitational", we saw a game that was LIGHTS OUT! I mean like literally, as our fantastic venue lost power due to severe storms. Instead of canceling the game, we all pulled out our phones and lit the room up so that we could keep playing. You guys were all so awesome and rolled with it!

In the first game we saw Alan C. and Ryan B. put on an absolute show with a battle for the ages. It was fun to watch and Alan C. made an amazing comeback. In the second game, I had one of the wins that I am proudest of. Jeremy K. is a great player and we have only gone heads up one other time (which he beat me in one hand), so I was happy to even the record. I look forward to the rubber match sir. We would like to honor Ryan B. and Jeremy K. with the second place ribbons this week. Thank you all so much for coming out and playing with us!

After week 9 of 10 (June 4th, 2025) of the "Chip and a Chair Invitational", we saw another name get locked into the tournament with Mike Bu. clawing out of the alternates and making sure he is locked in to go for the championship bracelet! Darin P. put up a good fight but Mike Bu. wouldn't be stopped! We saw Jeremy K. continue to do Jeremy K. things and help Big Sug get another ribbon to build upon his house of 2nd place ribbons. Jeremy is so tough to play against, especially heads up. We give Sug a hard time about his 2nd places, but it is important to point out how difficult it is to get as many 2nd places as Big Sug does. Thats a win, a second and a bounty all in the same night. I almost had the double win, but Ryan B. played some great cards and brought home the trophy in the second game.
