The Onaway Area Historical Museum's Dancing Hippopatomus Arts & Crafts Festival, also known as, The "Dancing Hippo" is one of the most unique Arts & Crafts festival you will find in Michigan! Visitors will not believe their eyes as they step back in time to an earlier era of craft festivals. Arts and crafts on display will surprise the festival goer as they will see work in many different media &

traditions from folk to contemporary. Come and enjoy the celebration as we continue the tradition started so many
years ago, by the late Lil Foster.

The Dancing Hippo Arts and Craft Show will be here before you know it. It’s held on July 3rd & 4th on the lawn of the historic Onaway Courthouse lawn and inside. Many fabulous crafters will be there and also food vendors. You can watch the July 4th parade with the other thousands of people who will be in town. Also, Kids Day will be July 3rd, sponsored by by Awakon Federal Credit Union. This will be just a block away held at Maxon Field. we still have a few spots for vendors. Hope to see you there!

There is a hint of Spring in the air. We’re sure all you fabulous crafters have been busy all winter. The Dancing Hippo Arts and Craft Show will be here before you know. Be sure to get your application in soon. The show will be July 3rd & 4th. Spaces are still available, but are limited. Our vendors have commented that this is the best show in regards to customers and walking traffic flow. You have a birdseye view of the July 4th parade that brings in thousands of of people from all over. We have indoor and outdoor spaces available. We advertise all over Northern Michigan. The Dancing Hippo Arts & Craft Show will be here before you know. Located in Onaway, Mi. on the lawn and inside the historic Onaway Courthouse on July3rd & 4th. If you create your own fabulous items and want a great venue to sell them, check us out. There are thousands of people in town that weekend, lots of activities and we are located along the main street. Lots of walking traffic, especially since we have the July 4th parade which brings in people from all over. For an application, email to:
