They’ll say “fully insured”—but if inflatables aren’t named, you’re the one getting sued.

Most bounce house companies can send you a Certificate of Insurance, just not one that protects you when it matters.

Here’s what they don’t want you to know:

🟥 Anyone can fake a COI with a PDF editor.
🟥 Generic insurance doesn’t mean inflatables are covered.
🟥 And unless their policy clearly covers your event type, you’re holding all the risk.

The truth:
✔️ A real company will have THEIR insurance agent email you the COI directly.
✔️ It will clearly say “Inflatable Game Rentals” or similar.
✔️ They’ll offer to add you as “Additionally Insured.”

If they dodge these?
Run. Fast.

Because when a bounce house flips or a child gets hurt—

📍 Your homeowner’s insurance won’t cover it.
You hired a third-party vendor. If they’re not insured, you’re legally and financially responsible.

📍 Your renter’s insurance won’t cover it either.
Inflatables are high-risk. Most renter policies exclude them completely.

📍 And if the vendor faked their coverage or sent a generic policy, they won’t pay a dime. You will.

That OTHER RENTAL COMPANY could turn into $150,000 in medical bills, lawsuits, and stress.

Another weekend. Another round of cancellations.
4 birthday parties—gone.
An Easter egg hunt for the Black Police Officers Association of Omaha—wiped out.

All because of one thing:
Wind.
And not just breezy—dangerous.
At multiple points today, we were looking at gusts of 26–36 MPH. That’s not just above the limit… it’s a launchpad.

According to SIOTO (Safe Inflatables Operators Training Organization) and every reputable insurance carrier in the industry, commercial inflatables must be taken down or never set up if sustained winds are above 15 MPH.

Why? Because anything above that can lift a unit off the ground—with children inside.
