The La Salle club is social club for single and alumni Catholics who are able to receive the sacrament of marriage in the Catholic Church. The group also supports Catholic education, parishes and vocations through the community.

June 29th: This Saturday at 2:00 pm is the annual New Member Picnic at Oak Heights Park picnic area at 10205 U St. Omaha, NE 68127. You could bring a salad, favorite summer side dish to share, the club will provide the meats and will have drinks available. The cost for the picnic is five dollars, then if your membership is renewed at the picnic. Then it's $15.00 for the membership including the picnic.

* An important topic of dissolving The La Salle Club will be reviewed at this event. We encourage you to take part in this topic as part of your membership. As to the remainder of event postings, gatherings, newsletter and group events.

June 8. This week we meet at Sortino's Pizza at 7880 "L" Str at 5:00 PM for dinner. We'll enjoy a slice or two from the pizza the group chooses. After dinner, we'll see if we can get tickets to the Omaha Beef game against the Carolina Cobras. From what I see, they are undefeated this year. If we can't get tickets to the game, Plan B is to go play pool at Big John's billiards. We'll know Saturday.

We hope to see you there. The evening is always more enjoyable with more people. And a healthy society socializes face to face.

The LaSalle Club event June 1. We're going to meet in the Old Market at Jams at 1101 Harney Street at 5:00 PM. The web tells me they have "a variety of dishes, from salads to steaks and seafood. After dinner, we'll walk around the Old Market.

May 4. We will meet at China Buffet at 3605 N 147th at 5 PM for dinner. After dinner, we'll move down the street to Marcus Theater for the latest release. We'll decide on the movie at dinner.

Apr. 27th event: we'll meet at 5:00 pm at Copp's Pizza at 7204 Jones St. for dinner and then go to the West Lanes Bowling alley at 151 N 72nd St. on for the Cosmic Bowling 🎳 Sweeper.

The next La Salle Club event is on April 20th. We are scheduled to meet at Trini's in the Passageway at 5:00 PM. The address is 1020 Howard St. We do need to know about how many people will attend since they can be very busy. Please RSVP by Friday Apr 19. You can also text to 402-490-0429. If we're unable to dine at Trini's, we'll probably eat at Zio's.

The April 6th event: meet for dinner at 5:00 pm at Primos Modern Mexican restaurant at 5914 Center St. and after dinner go to the Aksarben Cinema at 2110 S. 67th St. to take in the latest motion picture movie.

Here's the next LaSalle Club event:
Saturday February 24. This Saturday we return to the Old Market. We meet at Spaghetti Works at 502 S 11th St at 5:00 PM. We can select from the never ending spaghetti to pizzas, calzones, or other great menu selections. After dinner, we'll walk around the Old Market looking for the things we didn't know we needed. We'll end the tour with a stop at Ted and Wally's Ice Cream Shop.

Remember to catch a view of the full moon 🌕 Friday night through Saturday evening in the sky. Maybe you can even lasso one for Mary. As in the Christmas movie It's a Wonderful Life.

The next LaSalle Club event is:
February 17. Godfather's Pizza in Aksarben Village, 2117 S 67th St at 5:00 PM. We'll share a couple slices before walking across the street to the Baxter Arena to watch the UNO Mavericks shoot hoops against South Dakota State. The game is set to start at 7:00 PM.

Here's the next La Salle Club event.
February 3. This Saturday we'll meet at Hog Wild BBQ at 4950 S 108th Street at 5:00 PM. They have a good variety of meat and sauce to suit anyone's taste. After dinner, we'll move down the street to Big John's Billiards to play a few games. Remember, you don't have to play pool to join us. If you do, bring your geometry skills and your cue too. Angles are the name of the game. The billiards hall does have house cues. The LaSalle Club and Big John hopes to see you there.

January 27. We meet at Zio's Pizza Shop in the Old Market at 5:00 PM. Zio's is at 1109 Howard St. Zio's has a very good selection of pizzas, pastas, and sandwiches. We also have some discount coupons for those in attendance. After dinner, we'll walk the Old Market.
