ined the company in 1968 after graduating from the Culinary Institute of America. Hap purchased a new building in Ralston, Nebraska, 5520 Miller Avenue in 1992, containing 10,000 square feet. Hap is currently the CEO of Abraham Catering. Jennifer, Hap’s daughter joined the company in 1996 and is currently President of Catering Operations and Jennifer’s husband Brian, joined the company in 1997 and is President and COO. Hap, Jennifer & Brian are the only shareholders of Abraham Catering Services, Inc. Abraham Catering has grown from a two person operation in the early days to 30 full time employees and 125 part time employees today. Abraham Catering Service is a full service catering company that can arrange for any of your needs, decorations, entertainment, facilities, valet parking, coat checking, themes, audio visual equipment, tents, etc. Abraham Catering Services Inc., caters the following types of events:
- Gourmet sit-down dinner for 2 to 2,500 guests
- Company picnic with BBQ ribs and fried chicken for 5 to 8,000 guests
- Board of Directors Luncheons and services

Now this is a throwback…Abraham’s Traveling Kitchen!🚍

Abraham Catering started with Hap’s parents in 1951, George and Josephine Abraham.

Early menus featured beloved Middle Eastern dishes and even flaming Turkish coffee that became a local conversation piece.

George Abraham had a vision that the catering business would someday be bigger and better than the restaurant business. It turned out that with time, he was correct.

75 years later, we’re proud to continue our family’s vision—now with the fourth generation learning the ropes and shaping what’s next. 🥳

Since 1951, Abraham Catering has been bringing Omaha together, one table, one event, one moment at a time. What started as a family vision has grown into Nebraska’s largest catering company, led by Hap Abraham, who helped transform the business into a statewide staple after returning home in 1968.

In 1992, that growth took shape in a new way, moving into a 10,000-square-foot headquarters in Ralston, creating space to expand services, staff, and production for the generations to come. It’s the kind of story Midlands Business Journal has told time and time again, highlighting the builders behind the scenes and the businesses that shape how a city gathers.

It's official, Hap is ready to pass the torch to his grandson, Max!😉👨🏽‍🍳

They started at 9:30 am and cooked all day!

On the menu: Brisket topped with Abraham's famous BBQ sauce, paired with homemade mac and cheese, mediterranean salad, & twice baked potatoes.🥩🥗🍷

What started as a small family business in 1951… 75 years later, the fourth generation is carrying on the legacy, learning from the pro trained at The Culinary Institute of America!

And just like that, the next generation of the Abraham Catering family is getting married!! 🥹🤍💍

In June 2025, we welcomed the fourth generation into the family business, Max, son of Jennifer and Brian, alongside his high school sweetheart, Molly!

Peep the 4th photo 👀 This is where their love story began, right at Lucile's Old Market. Fast forward 8 years later, to their engagement in the very same special place where they fell in love!🥹
