Team Shout Out: A great set of weekends as outreach rockstars!

The team served 633 Taste Tests between three drinking waters. Tahoe Tap received 491 best taste votes for 78%. The full results are below.

Water #1: North Tahoe PUD, 188 votes
Water #2: Tahoe City PUD, 303 votes
Water #3: bottled Arrowhead, 142 votes.

Next up is South Lake Tahoe Earth Day. We’ll be serving up drinking water from South Tahoe PUD, Incline Village GID, and bottled Arrowhead.

South Lake Tahoe Earth Day: the second round of the Drink Tahoe Tap-Taste Test went smoothly at South Lake Tahoe Community College on Saturday 4/27 . The team photo is attached.

The South Lake Event had much lower attendance than the North Lake Tahoe event, and the team served 277 Taste Tests, with 204 votes for tap water.

There are ways to reduce litter; it takes restrictions. Truckee has enacted a single use item fee for to-go items! Reduce the watershed litter load and ten there is money for cleanup as well. Bravo Truckee!

This volunteer event connects the community to its watershed through hands-on, scientific water quality sampling. Plus, it’s a fun way to spend a Saturday morning - in nature, with your pod, doing good for .
