The OHS Jazz Band will have a concert, and you will be treated to cheesecake and tea while enjoying the fantastic entertainment! Admission is $10, and all proceeds will help band students pay for their trip to Washington, D.C. in the summer of 2018! I've had the privilege of hearing the Jazz Band play, and they are AWESOME!!!!

This will be an awesome event!!!!

I'm going to do features on the bands that will be playing at the benefit for The Cole Project. The concert will be this Saturday night at The Main Room in Olney, Texas. Shane Rogers Brandon Adams and Dan Patterson will be playing. Shane Rogers is retired United Sates Marine Corps hand-to-hand combat instructor. He has one of the best singing voices in all of country music (my opinion). Shane first formed his band back in the early 2000s, and his first radio release called "Cheatin' Man's Mind" earned him a ton of radio airplay, and was #1 for like 3 consecutive weeks on Lubbock radio. He has since put out two more albums, "Second Time Around" and "Betrayed." Shane and his band tour all over the country and have opened up for acts like Willie Nelson, Dwight Yoakum, Pat Green, Robert Earl Keen, Chris Cagle, Blue Oyster Cult (mo cowbell), Great White, Cross Canadian Ragweed, Jason Boland, Reckless Kelly, Cory Morrow, Josh Abbott Band, Cory Morrow, Kevin Fowler, and Casey Donahew, just to name a few! He puts on one of the best live shows I've ever seen, and I'm not just saying that because he is my friend!
