Hey neighbors 👋

Mornings have been a lot lately (especially getting kids out the door), so we put together something to make it easier.

We just launched weekday early bird breakfast at Angie’s Scratch Kitchen (Mon–Fri 7–10am). Quick, fresh, made to order — eggs, pancakes, breakfast sandwiches + coffee starting around $9.99.

For the parents, everything is cooked fresh (no microwaves) and we use locally sourced eggs — simple food the way we grew up on. Easy to grab something real for the kids before school without the drive-thru.

We’re right here in Olney — hope to see some of you this week 💛

🎉 BIG NEWS, Scratch Kitchen family! 🎉
We are incredibly proud to share that Scratch Kitchen is a 2025 Toast Changemakers Grant recipient! 🦃❤️

This program was created to support restaurants making a real impact in the fight against food insecurity — something that has been at the heart of our mission since day one.

Many of you know our story: in 2022, we hosted our very first Thanksgiving lunch for newcomer students at Gaithersburg High School. That year, we served 125 students.

Today, thanks to your support, that tradition has grown to feeding over 500 students every year — all held on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving.

This special meal honors my daughter Angie and my grandmother Nancy, who always believed there was room for “one more at the table.” 🧡

Receiving the Toast Changemakers Grant helps us continue this tradition and expand the ways we serve our community — students, families, seniors, and anyone who needs a warm, homemade meal made with love.

Thank you to everyone who supports Scratch Kitchen. This recognition is for all of us.
