Welcome to White Oak Events! We are an event venue located just outside the town of Olney, Illinois.

Our beautifully renovated event barn contains a full kitchen, dining space, full bath, and cozy sleeping loft - great for gatherings of many kinds!

2025 was SUCH a wonderful year! We wish to thank all of our event clients and guests for making this year so memorable. From creative baby and bridal showers, to joyful first birthdays all the way up to ninetieth birthdays(!), to beautiful weddings and anniversaries, to delightful high school proms and reunions, and fun for friends and families who came here to gather, we felt blessed to be a part of each event by hosting you. (And we wish we could fit every one of your photos into this little memory collage!) We appreciate your business here at the White Oaks Events barn, and we look forward to seeing y'all again soon in 2026! May you and your families all be blessed! Happy New Year!

Perfect for the Thanksgiving season, Karlee Rubsam's baby shower had a "little cutie pie" theme, right down to a delicious pie/dessert bar. We're wishing this sweet mama-to-be the happiest of holidays and sending up prayers for the safe arrival of that sweet little cutie pie! 🥧🥰

We wish Fred Prosser another blessed year! He recently celebrated his 90th birthday! We were so happy to host this wonderful gathering with his family and friends--all here to toast him and his life's tremendous impact. 🎂

We're feeling THANKFUL for being able to host beautiful baby showers and so many family events like this one this fall! Congratulations to lovely expectant mama Zuber. Her creative baby shower is giving us lots of inspiration for our own charcuterie and coffee bar spreads this Thanksgiving! We are wishing you and yours a blessed holiday today.

Our Story

In 2017, Blake and Melissa Runyon completely renovated the “barn-shed” on their farm homestead to add a wonderful space for gatherings. Blake and his dad hand-cut the white oak wood used throughout the barn, and the red oak beams in the loft ceiling. For the past two years, Blake and Melissa have been hosting friends, their gatherings, and their Bible study group in the space and enjoyed every moment! Now, this space is open to you, too! We invite you to come and enjoy our space at White Oak Events!

Fast facts about the barn:

Contains full service kitchen, with fridge, dishwasher, oven, and range, as well as a wonderful station for coffee, and two large rolling work islands. Seven round tables and 70 chairs are available.

Contains full bath with shower and infant changing station.
