"Heading Home" is a documentary and discussion traveling over 4,000 miles and 2,000 years to see how artists, architects and theologians worked in parallel for many centuries โ from Saint Augustineโs vision of a New Jerusalem to Danteโs admonitions about the Last Judgment.
The film invites viewers to join these pilgrims as they experience many of the worldโs most magnificent churches and cathedrals, starting at the 4th century Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem, then on to Rome, Pisa, Florence, Bologna, Ravenna, Venice, Torcello and Aachen before winding up this incredible adventure at the 20th century Temple Church in London. There will be a special guest performance by spoken word artist, Mitchell 'Street' West, one of the pilgrims featured in the video.
Film director, Jody Hassett Sanchez, author and guide, Roberta Ahmanson, and Scottish photographer for the documentary, Kieran Dodds, will be present for a community discussion panel following the film.
Be sure to join us for a beautiful and thought-provoking evening!
