On Wednesday August 6, 2025, Chief Anthony Chronister, Ola Police Department, and City of Ola would like to invite you to the Chief Doyle Holstein Memorial at 10 am. This will mark the 30th year that we honor Chief Holstein for his service and sacrifice to our community.

Everyone is welcome to attend.

In 2019 the city council passed resolution 19-391 creating Doyle Holstein Day, and observing the memorial on this day so we may honor and never forget. City offices will be closed.

Doyle was an educator, coach, and police chief/officer. We honor his public service with
the Doyle Holstein Memorial Scholarship. In 2022 the Doyle Holstein Memorial Scholarship fund and committee was formed. The scholarship is given to a Two Rivers High School graduate going into a field of public service. Recipients application is chosen each year by the committee and the scholarship is presented on graduation night. With donations and contributions we have been blessed to give scholarships for the past three years.

If you would like more information or would like to contribute to the scholarship fund, you can contact the Police Department at 479-489-5612 or City Hall at 479 489 5131.
