Castle Falls' original builder William "Bill" Penn Blecha served as a payroll master at the Miller Brother's 101 Ranch in Bliss, Oklahoma (now Marland, Oklahoma located near Ponca City). He sent this postcard in 1914 during his employment when he was 19 years old. As the current owner of Castle Falls, I never cease to be amazed at Blecha's adventurous life, especially after reading The Real Wild West by Michael Wallis. The Miller Brothers and the Wild West Shows, Oklahoma Indian Territory, and the beginning of Hollywood Westerns is an unbelievable true story that is not commonly known about Oklahoma's history and in which Blecha played a small role! "With best wishes, I remain, Wm Blecha." Then note the return address simply states 101 Ranch and the recipient's address simply has the number, street, and city!
