🗓️ Another Monday. Another coffee. But there’s never really ever enough coffee…

📍 Please take note : I will be closed next Wednesday, August 12 for the first day of school. When the boys were younger, we started a tradition of making pancakes or waffles for the first day of school. I think last year was the first time that the first day fell on a Wednesday, instead of a Tuesday or Thursday, so we didn’t have that special start to the year. But, I’m not missing it again, especially since our oldest only have five more first days.

I know Gather was a special part of so many first days last year, but I promise, I’ll still be here the rest of the school year to make those early mornings a little more special 🫶🏼

🚙 The Southern Illinois Coffee Trail begins today! And it is going to be a beautiful morning to get out and discover all that SoIL has to offer 🧡 So grab your passport, and get exploring!

I do not have boxes of donuts today [my bad]. But, I do have single donuts, turnovers, danishes, muffins, bagels and a couple boxes of baked goods to share 😋

🌕 Anyone else awake early enough this morning to see that orange moon? It was definitely a beautiful surprise to see when I headed out for donuts! [The fog along 160, however, was not.]

☀️ It’s our last fully free week of summer before school activities start back up, so you best bet that we’ll be squeezing in as many adventures as we can this week!

Today, we started by visiting Twisted Flamingo in Mascoutah. Guys, YUM. Everything we tried was absolutely delicious and thoroughly enjoyed by all four kiddos [the fourth one not being mine 😂] And of course the teenager downed that dirty soda.

Stop on by the next time you’re out that way! They have their own entrance on the back side of Paper Moon. [And if it had been cooler, the patio would have been the perfect spot to enjoy!]
