The Oil Region Alliance invites the public for a tour of the Oil Region Venango Campus on Tuesday May 13th, starting in the Rhoades Center at 4:30pm followed by a listening session and discussion of ideas and future plans for the campus to follow.

The Bridge Literary Arts Center will be hosting a Mini Lit Fest on campus on April 26th! We are dedicated to continuing education at the Oil Region Venango Campus, this is one example of how we plan to work with partners to offer opportunities for personal development.

Wondering what the workshops will be like?

Well, here’s a description of the Creative Nonfiction session, conducted by Phil Terman!

We’ll explore a short memoir piece for its use of poetic language and story as a warm-up for participants to brainstorm and share one or two (as time allows) significant moments in their lives that might become potential springboards for developing their own memoirs. We’ll have fun offering suggestions for where those stories might travel.

Mini LIT Fest

We’re thrilled to partner with local organizations to provide essential training opportunities in self-defense, trail readiness, first aid, and human trafficking awareness.

About two-dozen women and a few children spent their Saturday afternoon learning about self-defense during a free training session at Oil Region Venango Campus in Oil City.

The Venango Campus, created through the advocacy and financial support of local community leaders, has been a critical regional resource for over 60 years, providing opportunities for job training, continuing education, cultural experiences, historic preservation, recreation, and community convocation. The Oil Region Alliance of Business, Industry and Tourism (ORA) assumed stewardship for the campus in summer 2024, with full ownership to transfer in the near future. As a multi-faceted rural development hub for the Oil Region, the ORA pledges to provide meticulous stewardship over the physical assets and community-focused mission of the Venango Campus.

Venango County and the ORATV association are hosting a public meeting on Thursday, November 7th, at 6:30p, at the Oil Region Venango Campus Rhoades Student Center. We will discuss use of atv/utv within the county and update the public on what the Oil Region ATV has been up to the last few months. All are encouraged to attend!
