Oil Heritage Festival The 48th Annual Oil Heritage Festival offers something for people of all ages!

The Annual Oil Heritage Festival is proudly sponsored by the Venango Area Chamber of Commerce. The festival honors the area’s rich heritage that resulted from the discovery of petroleum and the “oil boom” that occurred along Oil Creek in the mid-1800s. In that oil fueled the Industrial Revolution and the modernization of America’s transportation industry, our region is frequently referred to as “t

he valley that changed the world.”

The Annual Oil Heritage Festival, held on the 4th weekend of July each year, depicts our distinctive heritage by incorporating many heritage related events into one of Western Pennsylvania’s major festivals … a fun-filled festival draws thousands of visitors and guests to the region each year. Volunteers from civic and social organizations help to sponsor wonderful events designed to provide fun and entertainment for people of all ages.

Calling all Oil Heritage Festival Button Collectors! 🚨🚨

In preparation of a commemorative shrine for the 50th OHF anniversary in two years, we're trying to track down all of the OHF buttons! While the Chamber has managed to keep hold of most of the buttons, there are some that we're missing, and we'd love to see if any members of the public had the buttons we need🏆🏆

If you have any of the following buttons, and you would allow the Chamber to use them for a commemorative button shrine, please DM the OHF Facebook, the Venango Chamber, or call the Chamber at (814) 676-8521.

The 2026 Oil Heritage Festival has come to a close! 🎆🎆

Thank you so much to everyone who sponsored, hosted an event, captured photographs for us, volunteered, and most importantly, all of the people who came out to enjoy the OHF events! The community is what makes OHF special, and every time you come out to an event, buy food from a vendor, appreciate the good music, or meander around the craft show, you are supporting the people and heritage that make this region special✨✨

Save the date for Oil Heritage Festival 2027, July 21st - 25th! We will tuck in and start planning to make the 49th annual festival amazing. See you then!👋👋
