Today, we fire up the smokers, gather with family, and enjoy the freedoms we sometimes take for granted. But Memorial Day is more than a long weekend — it’s a day to remember the heroes who gave everything for this country. 🇺🇸

At 5XL BBQ, we honor the brave men and women who never made it home. Their sacrifice is the reason we get to enjoy moments like these with the people we love.

So today, we pause.
We remember.
We honor.
And we say thank you.

🔥 Best Dam Barbecue Challenge Results 🔥

5XL BBQ had a great weekend in Boulder City, Nevada! We finished 17th overall and were proud to walk away with a 2nd place call in pork!

Our results:
🐔 Chicken — 15th
🐖 Ribs — 20th
🏆 Pork — 2nd
🥩 Brisket — 19th
🔥 Overall — 17th

A huge thank you to the rotaryclubofbouldercity for putting on a great event and giving teams a place to come together, compete, and enjoy an awesome BBQ weekend.

Congratulations to big_johns_bbq_lv on the Grand Champion and unclejessesbbq on the Reserve Grand Champion! Also, it was great to see our travel buddies Wild West BBQ Utah get a 3rd place call in ribs!

We’re proud of the cook, grateful for the BBQ family, and ready to keep learning and improving.

🔥 5XL BBQ has officially arrived in Boulder City! 🔥

We’re set up, the pits are ready, and the smoke is about to start rolling for the Best Dam Barbecue Challenge!

It’s always a grind getting here, getting unloaded, and getting everything dialed in — but that’s part of what makes competition BBQ so dang fun. Now it’s time to settle in, enjoy the weekend, and go to work.
