This past January, I had the incredible opportunity to photograph former United States President George W. Bush during the NAW Executive Summit in Washington, D.C. for .
It was a wonderful experience covering the event. Former President Bush was funny, gracious and welcoming throughout the evening. Before his keynote address, I photographed group portraits with members of the association. As soon as he entered the room, he walked straight over, made direct eye contact and asked my name. Afterward, I had the opportunity to take a selfie with him, and he once again looked me in the eye and told me I did a great job.
