This shoot featuring the stunning popped up in my Facebook memories yesterday and I just had to share. 💜 Something I’ve always tried to be aware of as a photographer is whitewashing in the photography editing process. So often beautiful dark skin tones are lightened to fit a beauty standard. I will never be ok with that. Each individual is beautiful and their natural beauty and features deserves to shine. I will continue to dedicate my work to helping all of my clients shine and feel beautiful in their own skin ✨

My daughter Emma’s new word that she’s learned to say is Happy 😃. Hearing her say it randomly even when I’m having a hard day always cheers me up and reminds me that she is watching my reactions. I can’t control what’s going on around me but I can always try to make the best of things and smile 😊 to show my little girl that she makes me Happy 🌼
