Hi, friends! 👋
I realized that while many of you have followed my work for a while, I haven't properly introduced myself.
My name is Ish, many know me as Brooklyn, and I'm the owner and creative mind behind Balloons by Brooklyn.
And before we go any further, let's clear up one thing...
Yes, I know. 😂
Most people assume the owner of Balloons by Brooklyn is a woman. I've lost count of how many times people have messaged me expecting to meet a woman named Brooklyn, only to be surprised when I show up.
Well, surprise! It's me.
And for those wondering, Brooklyn is actually one of my nicknames. I've always said, it doesn't matter what you call me, as long as you call me! So while I may not be who people expect, the name behind the business is very real.
What started as a love for creating beautiful things has grown into a passion for helping people celebrate life's most meaningful moments.
Most people think I'm in the balloon business, but the truth is, I'm in the memory making business.
Whether it's a baby's first birthday, a quinceañera, a graduation, a wedding, or a surprise celebration, my goal is never just to create a balloon display. My goal is to create something that becomes part of your family's story. Something that makes people smile, laugh, take pictures, and remember the moment long after the balloons are gone.
You'll often find me climbing ladders, working late nights, and doing whatever it takes to bring a client's vision to life. The finished display is always beautiful, but my favorite part is seeing the joy on my clients' faces when everything comes together.
And believe it or not, one of my favorite moments comes after the party is over. Popping balloons used to be my least favorite part of the job because it meant hours of work disappearing in minutes. Now it's one of my favorites because it means my job is done, my client is happy, memories have been made, and I can finally rest.
When I'm not creating balloon garlands and event decor, you'll probably find me with a Dr Pepper Zero in hand, wearing one of my favorite vests, and dreaming up the next big design.
