A message from our Spotlight Circle President:

I cannot tell you how much Rob will be missed by the MiraCosta Theatre Spotlight Circle. He was an active and dedicated board member of our organization for years, and he brought an invaluable wealth of knowledge, perspective, and insights to our discussions. He always sought to be inclusive and diplomatic, yet was not afraid to stand firm on principle and to ruffle some feathers, when necessary. His level of commitment and dedication was constantly inspiring to us. He was not only a true servant of the community who showed through his actions how much he cared for the students of MiraCosta, but he also was a good and loyal and trusted friend to me and so many others through so many spheres of his influence. Losing him has left a void in the heart of our organization that simply cannot be filled.

See you all at Drowsy Chaperone in March!

The MiraCosta Theatre Spotlight Circle will hold our traditional Silent Auction from March 5 -15, during the run of "The Drowsy Chaperone", a delightful musical comedy, and we hope that we can count on your support. It is our biggest fundraising event each year and goes a long way toward funding the scholarships we distribute each semester to help keep quality performing arts education affordable for our amazing students. Many of them tell us that without these monetary awards, they simply could not afford to take the time away from their jobs to participate in the Theatre’s productions.

And the experience they gain in productions is of great value to the students and eventually to our local community. Training in the Theatre can lead to self-confidence, better public speaking skills, enhanced ability to work cooperatively and accept feedback, and greater self-discipline. You can make an impact on local youth and thereby help to make our community a better place by making it possible for these students to learn such valuable life lessons in the Theatre!Plus you can help build exposure for your business. The donors' names are tastefully displayed during the entire run of the show. This means potentially Thousands could note your name, business, and your generosity!
