Another happy bride! It’s not my usual selfie attire but I hopped from cruisin the coast activities to her pick up appointment. I had her come for 2 hem fittings to make sure the unruly tulle was marked perfectly.. and it came out perfect! We also altered shoulder straps, lined the bodice partially, added a rhinestone belt and added a bustle. She said she didn’t want to take it off! She’ll be gorgeous on Oct 24!!

She wanted it, she got it… making Brides happy with their dream dress… one at a time! Adding partial liner wasn’t easy, but 6 hours of hand sewing on a rainy Sunday later.. I did it! I also hand sewed on the belt to make it look incorporated into her dress.

Another Happy Bride!! She was so sweet to work with and she’s a doll, 4 ft 8 inches! I had to take in the shear bodice and take 10 inches off the bottom. That was a scary cut, but the pins don’t lie 😁. It was an absolute perfect hem and such a cute bustle. She said, yes, I can definitely dance with this! She’s got a lot of dancing to do.. she said there will be 650 guests at her wedding! I’m proud to have made her dress fit absolutely perfect for all guests to behold her!

Feel good story: for privacy I didn’t show her whole face, just that smile and her dress🩷

I got a message today from a man needing his 86 year old Mother’s dress hemmed for a wedding on Saturday. Yall know Mollie made me have a soft heart for elderly ladies. But, I NEVER stop a dress that’s at the machine, change thread colors, and accommodate a need right now dress. I couldn’t say no. I got it done within a few hours of it being dropped off. I gave a fair price, with no expedite charges. The nice man couldn’t thank me enough and said that I really saved the day for their special event. He said his mother is so grateful and happy. He went on to say that she smiled in happiness that I was able to help and that she hasn’t smiled in a while. He payed $90 more than I asked. The opportunity to help kind people in need, experience their gratitude, and feel that love in your heart is priceless! I’m so glad I couldn’t say no!!

I couldn’t resist a mirror selfie with this jewel!!! It weighs at least 10 pounds so we added clear straps. While hemming the weight tested my shoulders at the machine. I broke 5 needles. Bernina Louise, my machine, disliked me and the situation. I pep talked her..”come on girl, we’ve got this!”… And I had to do alot of hand sewing. But, she will be a homecoming show stopper!! I’m jealous of all my homecoming girls, I wanna goto a sparkly party!
