My 2:30 appointment left me with such a Happy heart! It’s an expedite alteration for a wedding in Greece in 2 weeks...so they appreciated that I could work with them. The 2 contacts for the dress alterations that the bridal shop gave them both said no.. and that was the only reason they bought the dress. So, in a panic they googled and liked my reviews. But they still didn’t know how much they could trust me. They said as soon as they walked in they knew… I heard “wow, this is dreamy” when they entered the dressing area. Then when they came around to my studio area they said “wow, this is so beautiful too! Now we know we came to the right place!” 🩷

It’s daunting, but enables a great fit! I’ve added ribbon corsets on many dresses, for brides, bridesmaids, and some prom girls and Mardi Gras ball girls. When the dress is too snug, it saves the dress!

Another Happy Bride!! We had to shorten her sleeves, tailor at the princess neckline, the hips, and at the open back. Everywhere I had to sew, I had to remove all the lace, work under it, and reapply the the lace appliqués. She said I can’t believe you did all of that so fast! She’s ready to tie the knot on September 13th!!

Another Happy Bride. Her dress didn’t need much but we removed a layer of gathered tulle to make it less puffy and added a bustle so her dress will be no fuss during her reception. She is a beauty and was very sweet to work with!

I don’t turn many dresses away. She bought this on a Sample sale. The stylist will tell the bride things that a seamstress can’t necessarily do to make the sale. They also told her their seamstress could do all the tailoring for about $400. This dress is 3-4 sizes too big which means a lot of intricate beading and appliqué has to be removed, the work has to be done under it, then all appliqués and beading has to be resewn by hand. Then the hem is another story. This one just wasn’t going back together as the original look without about 15-20 hours or more of work. I really do hope the shops alteration lady can make this dress perfect for $400. Message me before you shop a sample sale… I’ve got tips.. or I’ll tag along for a fee.
