Want to have an event outside? Tykes Gym provides soft play equipment rentals for indoor and outdoor events.
For outdoor events here are some rules for outside.
1. Balls must be inside the ball pit at the time of pick up.
2. The grass must be completely dry to setup equipment.
3. Fencing must stay in place the entire event.
4. We can not put our soft play sets in dirt or sand.
5. Equipment must stay on the mats.
4. Outdoor events must have an alternate location in case of rain.

** I do not recommend putting the soft play sets in full sun as the mats get hot. I recommend putting soft play sets in a shaded area or add-on canopy to cover sets.

Soft Play areas provide a safe, fun, engaging environment for children to explore their senses and process new information . Soft Play areas can be set up in many environments, including classrooms, gyms, pre-schools, or within your own home for any celebration or occasion.

Tykes Gym was formed out of frustration from not being able to find appropriate party equipment ideas for my son's 1st birthday. I stumbled upon soft play and immediately fell in love, I felt like it was the perfect solution for my little energetic tykes. We love it so much and hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

Benefits of Soft Play:

1. Cognitive Development and Growth - One of the main benefits of soft play is its enhancement of the thought process; soft play helps children understand cause and effect. Soft play also helps a child to gain a comprehension between the relationship of items and hand-eye coordination.

2. Motor Stimulation - Children learn two types of motor development; gross motor development and fine motor development. Gross motor development includes things like running, jumping, skipping and climbing. Fine motor development involves learning delicate tasks, such as balancing or moving small things with their hands. Soft play helps children develop all of these skills as there are so many activities to offer.

3. Improve communication skills - Children communicate in a number of ways. At soft play, your child has the choice of whether they will explore the obstacles alone or with others. Some of the equipment will encourage communication with each other to work together to solve a problem.

4. Problem Solving and Adaptability - A new environment, such as a soft play offers new opportunities to experiment and tackle problem-solving. These new situations require creativity to try new approaches and techniques to adapt and absorb what works in these new surroundings.

5. Exercise and Sleep - When a child is in a soft play area, all their senses are stimulated. A soft play area is bright, colorful and most importantly, a fun space where a child can be free to explore! They can discover each piece of sensory equipment and run around as much as they want to. In turn, this should improve their quality of sleep that night – a positive result for parents and guardians!
