Fortress Obetz Fortress Obetz is owned and maintained by the City of Obetz.

Fortress Obetz is a 6,500 seat stadium on the site of the former Columbus Motor Speedway in Obetz, Ohio. In 2016, Obetz purchased the Columbus Motor Speedway and began construction on Fortress Obetz shortly after. Obetz has developed it into a community asset to host farmers’ markets, trade shows, sporting events, concerts, and other community activities.

🎃 Fortress Fright Night is THIS Saturday! 👻 Get ready for a spooktacular evening at Fortress Obetz on October 25th! Gates open at 6 PM, and the fun begins right away!

🕸️ Activities include:
Candy Tunnel (open for all kids!)
Haunted Hayride (begins around 7:15 PM)
Circus Sideshow & Juggling Acts
Kids’ Activities, Games, Balloon Twisting & Face Painting
Tons of photo ops throughout the Fortress! 📸

🍴 Food Trucks:
Schmidt’s • Jarheads • Mr. Benny’s • Blades Pizza • Traveling Tom’s Coffee • Kona Ice • Kolbe Cakes • Countrytyme Kettlecorn

👥 Note: Large groups wanting to ride the Haunted Hayride together may experience longer wait times. We’ll do our best to accommodate, but seating is not guaranteed for large groups.

Expect heavy traffic around Obetz this weekend due to soccer tournaments at Fortress Obetz. 🚗 Please plan ahead and allow extra travel time.

The Obetz Athletic Club (OAC) will remain open as usual, and reserved parking spots will be available for those heading to the OAC to work out. 💪

We had a blast hosting the 2025 Community Cup at Fortress Obetz, presented by the Greater Columbus Sports Commission and The Columbus Foundation! 🏆 Congressman Mike Carey even stopped by to check out the competition and joined Mayor Kirk for some axe-throwing fun at the Axes & Easels booth. Today, we pause to honor and remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and the countless first responders, service members, and everyday heroes who rushed toward danger to save others.

We are also grateful for the dedication of our own community’s heroes—Obetz Police, Hamilton Township Fire, and all first responders—who continue to bravely protect and serve every day.

👏 A huge thank you to everyone who joined our golf cart raffle during Full Throttle Thursdays! After 16 exciting weeks, we drew the winning ticket last night at Zucchinifest.

🎟 The lucky winner was ticket #79990244—and they were there in person to celebrate! We’re thrilled to see their excitement as they take home a brand-new golf cart. 🏎💨
