❤️💚 From Your 2026 Festa Presidents… Thank You! 💚❤️

As we reflect on this incredible Festa weekend, our hearts are overflowing with gratitude.

Serving as your Festa Presidents has been one of the greatest honors of our lives. This journey has been filled with months of planning, fundraising, organizing, and countless hours of hard work. Seeing our community come together this weekend made every late night and every challenge worthwhile.

We want to extend our deepest thanks to everyone who helped make this year’s Festa such a success.

To our dedicated volunteers, committee members, cooks, servers, cleaners, setup and cleanup crews, parade participants, Queen and her court, Father, donors, sponsors, auction contributors, and everyone who worked behind the scenes—thank you. Your time, generosity, and commitment are what keep this beautiful tradition alive.

To everyone who attended, whether you’ve been coming for years or this was your very first Festa, thank you for celebrating with us. And to those who shared our posts, invited friends and family, and helped spread the word, your support truly made a difference.

One of the things that makes our Festa so special is that everyone is welcome. Seeing people from all backgrounds come together in faith, fellowship, and community is exactly what the Holy Spirit represents.

As your Presidents, we are incredibly proud of what our community accomplished together. None of this would have been possible without each and every one of you.

🕊️✨ The Traditions of Our Festa: Honoring the Past, Celebrating the Present ✨🕊️

For generations, the Festa do Espírito Santo has been a cherished Portuguese tradition built on faith, gratitude, charity, and community.

Long ago in Portugal, the Festa was a time when communities came together to honor the Holy Spirit through prayer, processions, and acts of generosity. Families would prepare food to share with everyone, especially those in need. The crown of the Holy Spirit was carried with great reverence, reminding all that humility, service, and faith were at the heart of the celebration.

As Portuguese families brought this tradition to new places around the world, the Festa continued to grow and adapt while keeping its true meaning alive.

Today, we still honor the traditions passed down by our ancestors:

One of the most cherished stories in Portuguese Catholic tradition is the story of the Three Shepherd Children of Fátima—a story that continues to inspire millions around the world.

In 1917, in the small town of Fátima, Portugal, three young shepherd children—Lúcia, Francisco, and Jacinta—shared that they experienced apparitions of the Virgin Mary while tending their sheep.

Through her message, they were called to:
🙏 Pray the Rosary
🕊️ Pray for peace
❤️ Turn their hearts toward God
✨ Share faith and hope with others
