Meet the Heart Behind A Perfect Day~

Hi! I’m Laura Vaughn, the face and heart behind A Perfect Day! I started this business in the spring of 2021 to provide our tri-state area with a one-stop spot for event decor rentals, both small and large, for all types and styles of events. During the past five years, this business has grown into something I’m incredibly proud of, and I’ve truly loved every minute of it!

Most of my time is spent working with clients on weddings, but I also love helping provide rentals for bridal and baby showers, graduation parties, quinceañeras, family gatherings, and so much more.

My husband, Chase, is the talent behind many of my handcrafted wooden pieces. I also want to give a special shoutout to my father-in-law, Rick. Since his retirement, he has generously shared both his time and talent to help create some of my larger pieces, including the popular wooden pallet backdrop! I’m so thankful to be able to offer these one-of-a-kind statement pieces, all built by two great guys, as part of my rental inventory.

Chase and I have two kids, Conner and Brooklyn. What you don’t always see behind the scenes is our kids hanging out with us and playing nearby while we build new pieces or while I’m preparing for events. I started this business as a stay-at-home mom with my family’s needs in mind, and I feel incredibly grateful for what it has grown into today, and I have all of my amazing clients to thank for that.

Whether you need rentals for an entire event or just a few statement pieces to bring your day’s vision to life, I’m always happy to help. The best part of what I do is watching each client transform their celebration into their own version of *a perfect day*.

Fun Additions Highlight- Food Edition!

Because let’s be honest… who doesn’t love donuts, cake pops, queso or chocolate, s’mores, or popcorn?!

From eye-catching donut boards and displays to fondue fountains (perfect for chocolate or queso), plus s’mores bars, cake pop stands, a drink fountain, and even a popcorn machine, these are some of the most fun (and delicious!) pieces in my rental inventory.

They’ve been a hit at graduation parties, wedding celebrations, bridal and baby showers, and birthday parties, and they always bring a little extra excitement (and sweetness!) to any event.

No matter the occasion, there’s always a reason to indulge, and I have just the piece to create a memorable, interactive treat for your guests!

With graduations right around the corner and wedding season kicking off, I am revisiting some favorite display pieces and introducing a new one!

My wooden display ladder continues to be one of my most popular rentals. It’s perfect for “In Memory” displays, graduation setups featuring sports or arts memorabilia, photo displays, and even party favors or champagne/shot stations.

The white wooden display is another standout piece. This free-standing option is ideal for hanging photos, memorabilia, or seating charts. Add drapery, greenery, or florals to create an even more elevated statement, and a perfect piece for weddings, graduations and showers! Paired with it, my stained wooden frame offers the same versatility with a warmer, classic look.

And new to my inventory, are two matching wooden and black iron stands! These are such a great addition for photo displays, party favors, or creating champagne or shot towers for someone wanting a cleaner more modern look compared to the rustic wooden display ladder.

Highlighting New Rentals~

Two wooden table rounds have been added to my inventory! These allow you to create a larger tabletop that is perfect for a stunning cake display, statement welcome table, or beautiful altar piece.

We stained them to match all three styles of my large whiskey barrel collection (7 large barrels total!). They were actually used for a wedding cake display the week I finished them, and I can’t wait to share more photos soon!

I’m looking forward to seeing these pieces in many more celebrations in the months ahead!
