Executive Chef Reign Free has been in the kitchen since she was nine, seated on a stool beside her mother cooking traditional West Indian dishes for her family. College took her from the Midwest to New Orleans’ Dillard University were she earned a degree in public health. As an Executive Chef her Caribbean roots join Creole, Pan-Asian menus and the best comfort food this side of your grandmother’s

dining room table. As an entrepreneur and a graduate of The Women’s Initiative microenterprise program, Chef Reign continues to push the envelope of customer service, community consciousness and innovative cuisine. Her latest dining experience, 530: Casual. Clandestine. is a private supper club that extends The Red Door brand and further establishes her as one of the Bay area’s raising chefs. As COO of Craft Maker Beverage, Calvin is the one making sure the details behind the bar work just as seamlessly as the experience in front of it. From beverage development to event ex*****on, he’s involved in every layer of the operation—and probably already thought three steps ahead before anyone else did.

A few Calvin-isms:
• He can talk way too long about bar layouts and ice ratios.
• He plans trips almost entirely around the restaurants and bars he wants to try.
• He’s the person you want around when something breaks—he genuinely likes figuring out how things work.

Reflecting on our recent tea party fills me with gratitude and joy. Coming together with 20 incredible women from our own community created an atmosphere that was nothing short of enchanting. Each of you brought your unique stories, laughter, and warmth, weaving a tapestry of connection that I will cherish forever.

As we sipped our carefully selected teas, sharing not just beverages but our dreams and aspirations, I felt the true spirit of community blossom. This kickoff party was more than just an event; it was a celebration of the art of gathering, where every conversation sparked new ideas and friendships.

Thank you all for the wonderful birthday wishes! Wow, what a celebration it turned out to be! It all started with my son treating me to a delightful lunch, and then my amazing husband, showered me with gifts I’ve been eyeing for ages. Talk about making a girl feel special!

Next up was a fantastic day in Napa with friends, cheers to good company and great wine! 📍Where the drums are🪘 helped Saffia make the loveliest handmade paper flowers, which added a beautiful touch. I also received thoughtful gifts from friends near and far, making me feel so loved.

To top it all off, we had a special dessert tasting with Bellaria Dessert Studio at the kitchen with the team, followed by a cozy family dinner. What a week it’s been! I’m sitting here feeling grateful and surrounded by love, thankful to God for another year and for this incredible community that lifts me up.

Happy Birthday 🥳 to the one who built the table we all gather around.
