The idea Serendipity Paint came about in 2014 The passion I have in wanting others to experience creativity & showing them that they can create something beautiful was the very reason for starting Serendipity. Letting their creative side emerge with out much thought! Everyone has this in them & sometimes just needs a little encouragement. I have always loved to create, draw, paint & make things beautiful it is a passion of mine. In school I focused on art & knew the impact it has on ones soul. Taking my talents to homes I created a beautiful environment for many until later coming to have my own shop in retail. Soon realizing that was just not my passion I sold my boutique in the bay area & came back to the country.. back to Oakdale to be near my family. With a business driven disposition I soon created a local market for artisans , crafters & small business owners to showcase their product, “The Funky Market 209” Working as an event coordinator, home interiors & staging, I manage to focus on Serendipity & what it has to offer so many!
With my creative interior design background in and around the Real Estate arena, I wanted another way to create. The idea for painting on wood came to me one day while I was building & creating something out of reclaimed wood. I thought why cant I provide a place for women to come and create. Not only does Serendipity do painting on wood but also provide DIY workshops for ladies from trash to treasure to wreath making. There are many different choices in paint parties, sizes of the so to speak canvas, designs etc. Even childrens parties! The choices are endless! Serendipity Barn holds open workshops for all to attend or you can call to book a special date with your friends. Price depends on many things but typically ranges between $35-45. All fence boards are prepped & made into your “canvas” before you arrive depending on the design of choice for the day. Cut, washed, sanded and put together for a larger design with glue & nail gun. This process from the beginning to end is very unique & no one offers this because it is not easy. The passion & energy that I put into your beginning masterpiece will be felt.
Serendipity barn is an event venue located in East Oakdale on White Blossom Ranch a beautiful almond ranch. but we also travel all over to homes, restaurants, wineries etc. Donating many paint party packages to events, fundraisers etc. We have been very successful in providing a fun positive experience to everyone including the office atmosphere with team building gatherings. Being a winner of one of the best in 209 , also many positive reviews this is a unique experience that you will very much enjoy. Whether it is in the barn with the unique ambiance or at a location of your choice, you will be very surprised in what you can create with a little guidance. We have a small team that encourages & guides you in making your masterpiece. This is much different than painting on canvas , wood is much more forgiving, rustic & just all around cool! You will be very pleased with the outcome.. just as the name states. Serendipity: "a fortunate stroke of serendipity” Happy surprise, chance that you were not expecting.
