🌍 Travel: If he could go anywhere right now, it would be Japan. Ever since visiting, he hasn’t been able to shake the feeling—it’s truly unmatched.
•
🎵 Hobbies: Music is more than just background noise for Gabe. Discovering a new artist feels like starting a fresh chapter, and when he finds an album he loves, he plays it on repeat… literally 10 times.

🏡 Weekends: Most weekends are spent at his kids’ sports events, but whenever he gets a free moment, you’ll find him tending to his cactus garden.

📀 Favorite Music: His latest find? A vinyl copy of João Selva’s new album, and he can’t stop listening to it.

🥁 Fun Fact: As a teenager, Gabe was the drummer in a punk rock band that was on the brink of making it big—until life took a turn, and he ended up moving to San Francisco instead.

🌍 Travel: If he could go anywhere right now, it would be St. Lucia—he’s drawn to its breathtaking views, lush nature, and stunning beaches. Plus, it’s one place he’s never been!

🚗 Hobbies: Luis loves a good road trip. Whether it’s with his wife, son, or their dog, he’s always thinking about the next adventure. In fact, he’s writing this from somewhere in Michigan on a trip with the Mirar Weddings team.

⚽ Weekends: If he’s not filming, he’s spending time at his son’s soccer and basketball games—sports he not only loves watching but still considers his own hobbies.

🎶 Favorite Music: No favorites here—he enjoys all kinds of music, depending on the mood.

🏆 Fun Fact: Back in high school, Luis was a serious soccer player, making the All-City team in Chicago as a right defender. He still misses those days on the field!

🌍 Travel: If she could hop on a plane right now, she’d be torn between the Dalmatian Coast in Croatia and Sicily—both for their beaches, history, landscapes, and, of course, the food.

🍰 Hobbies: When she’s not behind the computer, she’s either baking (her orange cardamom olive oil cake is a specialty) or weight training at the gym, her go-to workout!

📅 Weekends: She keeps it balanced—trying new restaurants with her husband, spending time with family and friends, hitting up a farmers market, or heading to Southwest Michigan for a slower pace.

🎵 Favorite Music: Right now, she’s into Alvvays, The Blaze, and anything bossa nova—especially this time of year! When she’s not listening to music, she’s deep into podcasts.

🏡 Fun Fact: She always wanted to be an architect as a kid. While her career took a different path, she and her husband designed, built, and now operate an A-frame rental property in Southwest Michigan!

🌍 Travel: This year, David is on a mission to visit Croatia. Friends have raved about the beaches, culture, and food, and now it’s at the top of his list. With a trip to Italy already planned, he’s hoping to make a stop there and experience it for himself.
•
📸 Hobbies: Even when he’s off the clock, you’ll rarely find David without a camera in hand. Whether he’s capturing moments with his dogs, snapping photos of his family, or just documenting the world around him, photography is more than a job—it’s a passion.
•
📅 Weekends: He loves spending weekends exploring new restaurants with his wife and friends, taking his dogs on long walks (especially along the beach in warmer months), and hitting up festivals to try all the food and drinks. But when the pace slows down, a cozy, laid-back weekend is just as welcome.
•
🎵 Favorite Music: He’s been deep into a RÜFÜS DU SOL phase for the past year, but his taste is all over the map. He used to say he liked everything except country… but even that is starting to grow on him.

☕ Fun Fact: David was born in the middle of nowhere in Georgia. Also, he’s a huge coffee lover—always on the hunt for the best new coffee shop.

The founder and lead cinematographer of Mirar Weddings & Mirar Media, capturing love stories across the world. But beyond the camera, there’s a lot more to know about him!

🌍 Travel has always been a big part of Philipe’s life—something he’s carried into his marriage and now with his kids. Every New Year’s, his family takes a trip, from the beaches of the Dominican Republic to the streets of Paris. Many of his travels also revolve around his endurance training, like when he celebrated his 40th in Budapest. Up next? Exploring more of Eastern Europe!
•
🏃♂️ His daughter once joked that “him filled with adrenaline is dangerous for their bank account”—and she’s not wrong! His impulsive natured turned casual runs turned into half marathons, then full marathons, and now, training for an Ironman. Running is more than just a hobby; it’s a way of life, and thankfully, his family is all in! [ see ]

📅 On a rare weekend off from weddings, you’ll probably find him:
✈️ Traveling—even if it’s just a quick trip to Western Michigan
🏃♂️ Training for his next race
⚽ Cheering on his daughters at their soccer or swim meets

🎵 His Spotify Wrapped is a mix of country & EDM—one minute it’s Tyler Childers & Zach Bryan, the next it’s John Summit. And when he’s not listening to music, he’s deep into podcasts.

🤯 Fun fact: Philipe once had plans to work for the FBI as a linguist. He even studied Arabic and nearly moved to Jordan! If he had gotten on that plane, his life would look completely different… but thankfully, he chose filmmaking instead!

We’re a crew that Philipe has created. This means we’re not picking up random freelancers based on availability, but that Philipe has trained a group that understands his aesthetic. This is a bit of a rarity nowadays. We believe video is a crew-driven medium, so having a consistent team is an important element for us. This is the full time job for these guys. Because of this, you’re able to trust that the quality and service you get is consistent.
What’s Our Style?
We’re there to capture the atmosphere of the day so you can re-live it. We use a photo journalistic element. The look of love in a person’s eye, the intricacies of your dress and how it flows on you, the embrace you hold when no one is looking. Our goal is to capture missed moments, small details, and organic emotions. It’s our job to make sure we’re telling your story the best and most beautiful way we can. We love dramatic shots, and keep this aesthetic consistent throughout our work. We want you to know that what we are producing is organic and authentic.

Philipe is an editor first and foremost. By selecting Mirar, you are fulling trusting our eye and vision. We want you to be 110% happy with final product. We are collaborative, but select certain shots and elements because they create a compelling narrative. We shoot to edit, and we’re building your edit from the first time we meet.
Since we are editors at heart, the editing heavily influences the final outcome. We craft the piece as if it’s a sculpture. We chisel away until we get the perfect story in the way it should be presented. Because of our full time crew, you know you’re getting the quality and consistency you really deserve.
