Something Magical is Swimming Your Way... 🧜♀️✨
If you catch a glimpse of shimmering, iridescent scales catching the sunlight near Penn Cove this week, your eyes aren't playing tricks on you. The local Penn Cove mermaids are officially swimming up to Oak Harbor to trade the deep blue for the festival route and join the 4th of July parade!
They’ve heard the music carrying over the waves, and they aren't about to let the land-dwellers have all the fun.
Trading Flukes for Floats 🎆
Since marching down the street is a bit tricky without feet, the harbor merfolk have gotten creative, and found a faerie to give them legs for the day✨🫧
A Splash of Magic: Dressed in their finest sea-shell crowns and patriotic kelp ribbons, they'll be singing sea shanties that harmonize perfectly with the marching bands.
A Celebration on Land and Sea
When the sun finally goes down and the fireworks light up the night sky, look closely at the dark waters of the harbor. Alongside the reflection of the red, white, and blue, you’ll see the silhouettes of a hundred shimmering tails splashing in pure delight.
