We are thrilled to announce our newest addition: the electric Yamaha piano of legendary Tommy Goodman! Tommy left his stamp everywhere in Nyack’s jazz scene before he recently passed away at the age of 100. He also arranged and conducted the orchestral component for Louis Armstrong's "What a Wonderful World"! We are so grateful to his daughter, Jodi Goodman, for donating this incredible piece of music history to The Angel Nyack. Big thank you also to Julie Buffington and Russ Rizner for making this all happen - and delivering it in perfect condition along with our resident angel & board member, Skip Russell!! It is stored in our “blue green room” where it is also perfect for ArtsRock events and performers to warm up - most recently the AMAZING 🎶💕

Excited to kick off the Winter season of Voices on the Hudson on January 11 with a special concert featuring The Mammals.

The band is a headliner at folk festivals throughout the Northeast, has performed at Carnegie Hall, and brings the audience to their feet whenever they perform.

As my friend Dan Gottfried writes: “Their work is concerned with the fragile foundations of real life: land, community, lineage, the dignity of work, the precarity of hope. They write like people who have seen both the beauty and the unraveling of the American story and who still believe, stubbornly, in the possibility of repair. And their performances—welcoming, unrushed, almost ceremonial—create a space where audiences can breathe again, remembering themselves in the process.

Jude Roberts, a Nyack born performer from Woodstock, will open the night. Jude Roberts writes melodic, erudite songs that invite you to dream richly. He weaves a tapestry of words and music which makes listeners feel like they’ve rediscovered a song they never knew.”
