Acrylics in August!!
On Wednesday, thirty-five enthusiastic seniors, painted beautiful “Sunflower Wall Hangers” on special paper banners. They gathered together at the Oakeside Bloomfield Cultural Center, and the classes were directed by Bloomfield artist, Debra M. Cook. Each unique sunflower was painted with yellow and orange petals outward using bright acrylic paint, adding texture to the center with dots of brown paint. So many happy talented seniors!

The next acrylic painting class will be held on Wednesday, August 26th. A colorful, tropical beach painting will be created on canvas.
Senior citizens must sign up in advance, seats are limited. 🎨🖌️ — feeling creative with Neighbor to Neighbor Network NJ at Oakeside Bloomfield Cultural Center.

Debra’s classes have shown to improve the well-being of seniors, helping them stay active, creative, and mentally sharp. One participant, an 96 year-old, even discovered a talent for painting, reinforcing that age is just a number!
