Hi everyone, WhirlyBall referee here, delivering some sad news to you.

Last week, WhirlyBall Novi lost not only an important cog in the wheel of our operations, but also a good friend. Our beloved cook, Timothy McCoy, unexpectedly passed away.

I've spent the last week digging through the WhirlyBall archives looking for a picture of my friend Tim. The only one I found so far was this blurry one from the 2015 National WhirlyBall Tournament held in Novi.

Tim was one of the nicest people I have ever met. He would always ask me how I was doing, how things were going. Always smiling, telling stories. Working with him was always so much fun. Even if I was having a bad day, he could make me laugh. He was always such a joy to be around. I don't think I have the words to describe how much I am going to miss him. And I wish that I could tell him just how much he made working at WhirlyBall all that much better.

Thank you Tim for all your hard work over the years and more importantly, your friendship.
Fly high my friend, we'll see you on the other side one day.
