One thing I’ve noticed this wedding season is just how present my couples have been. There’s usually one deep breath at the beginning of the ceremony, and then they settle in. They look at each other, they laugh, they tear up. They actually take in the people around them and the words being spoken. They’re fully in it.

I like to believe part of that comes from knowing they don’t have to worry about what happens next.
That’s why we spend months preparing. Why we have our meetings, draft reviews, final check ins, and of course, the rehearsal! By the time you’re standing in front of me on your wedding day, there’s nothing left for you to manage, remember, or anticipate.

You already know the ceremony feels like you and you trust that I’ve got the rest.

So you can take that deep breath, look at the person you’re about to marry, and simply enjoy one of the biggest moments of your life. That’s the whole point!

With immense excitement, I am thrilled to officially announce the newest addition to The Marrying Jane team, Connor Barry!

Whenever I imagined growing this team, I knew I would be incredibly particular about who joined us. It was important to me that any new officiant not only shared our vision, but could provide the same thoughtful, personalized experience that Ren and I have worked so hard to make the standard for every couple we've worked with.

Connor could not be a more perfect fit. As an experienced wedding officiant with a background in writing and public speaking, Connor brings warmth, confidence, and a natural gift for storytelling to every ceremony he creates. He believes, as we do, that your ceremony should be unique to you as a couple! Your relationship, your dynamic, your humor, and your hopes for the life you're building together.

Connor will work alongside you to craft a ceremony that tells your story with intention and deliver it with the kind of ease and confidence that allows you to simply be present in the moment. You deserve to stand up there feeling grounded, celebrated, and completely yourselves. And I know Connor will make sure you do.

I’m typically the first one to walk down the aisle and my job starts before the bridal party is even out there to hear my first words.

It’s a chance to greet your guests, read the room, laugh about whatever unexpected thing just happened, answer the questions everyone is secretly wondering, and help everyone relax.

No two ceremonies start exactly the same, and I love that. Those unscripted moments are often the ones that make the day feel the most human.

By the time your music begins, the nerves have settled, your guests are present, and the ceremony already feels like you. That’s what setting the tone is all about!

The importance of a great vendor team on your wedding day can’t be overstated. Over the last several years, I’ve had the privilege of working alongside some of New England’s best, and the difference is unmistakable. When couples fully trust the team they’ve chosen, everyone can do their best work, and that confidence creates a wedding day that feels effortless from start to finish.

When you surround yourself with people you trust, everything feels different. Your photographer protects the timeline while capturing the moments you never saw happening. Your planner solves problems before you ever know they existed. Your DJ knows how to shift the energy in the room. Your florist makes sure every detail looks intentional. Your amazing officiant (😉) grounds you before you take the aisle. Everyone works together with the same goal: taking care of you.

The best wedding days rarely happen because everything goes perfectly. They happen because the right people are standing beside you, communicating, supporting one another, and making sure you can stay present for the moments that matter.
