There’s nothing quite like the joy of receiving a full gallery from a couple. I LOVE getting to relive all the little details and emotions from the day so dang much!

Victoria and James’ wedding had such a moving, beautiful, and intimate energy. And having their sons bring the rings forward during the ceremony got everyone in their feels.

Can we also talk about how good it feels to look at these incredible florals from Karla Cassidy Designs at the end of a very, very long winter!

If you’ve been following along with The Marrying Jane for a while, thank you! Truly. Your support, referrals, kind words, and trust mean more than I can put into a caption. Getting to stand with so many incredible couples on one of the biggest days of their lives has been one of the greatest honors of mine.

And if you’re new here, hi! I’m Chelsea!

I founded The Marrying Jane in 2020 after officiating the wedding of close friends. What started as a favor quickly turned into something much bigger when the venue invited me back to create similar ceremonies for other couples. Somewhere in those early days, I realized two things: I was completely in love with this work, and that there was room in the wedding industry for a more elevated, intentional ceremony experience. Couples were craving that. And they still are!

What began as just me has now grown to include another incredibly talented officiant, Ren. Together we believe every couple deserves to feel guided by a seasoned professional. Someone who knows where to stand, what to say, when to pause, and how to gracefully pivot if things don’t go according to plan. Someone who feels warm and natural within your day, like they belong there. Our goal is simple! To tell your story beautifully. With clarity, romance, and just the right amount of humor.

When I’m not officiating, I’m in constant motion. In the summer, you can find me boating on the lake with my husband and our two kids. In the winter, I’m chasing fresh snow in the mountains, teaching my daughter the excitement of grabbing the first chair. I still work part time as a Registered Nurse on the New Hampshire seacoast at the hospital I’ve made my second home for the last 16 years. And because sitting still is never an option for me, you can also find me training my working dog for competition on any given day or jumping into a game of pickup basketball in my local co-ed league.

One of the things I hear most from my couples is this:

“It was beautiful on the page. But hearing you perform it live was something else entirely.”

And they’re right.

A ceremony isn’t just words. It’s rhythm. It’s pauses that let a line land. It’s inflection that turns something sweet into something unforgettable. It’s reading the room, feeling the energy shift, and knowing when to lean into humor or let the quiet stretch just a second longer. And yes, sometimes that includes a well timed ad-lib that wasn’t in the Google Doc.

The script matters. But the delivery is what brings it to life.

And that difference? It’s everything.

After six years in business, it finally felt like time to give our website a proper, professional glow up! I was so proud of the original site I built myself with VERY limited tech skills and a lot of stubborn determination, but I knew the brand had grown into something that deserved to be reflected more intentionally online.

Enter Sadie, one of my 2025 brides and the incredibly talented owner of her own branding and design studio, St. Germain Design Co. After seeing the thoughtful, beautiful design she created for her own wedding, I knew instantly she had the perfect eye, skill, and experience with my services to properly bring this vision to life!
