It’s been a while, Tamarind & Thyme family!

With the weather improving, and a lot of the snow melting, we have a message we want to get out to our amazing customers…

We’re back!

We will be parked at two of our usual spots during the week at Brim and Crown and at Curb Apartments, but are urgently looking for locations we can park for Tuesdays and Saturdays! If you know of any luxury apartments, businesses, breweries, vineyards, colleges, yacht clubs, etc interested in service, let us know!

We are excited to get back to doing what we love best: cooking delicious food for our customers, getting to meet the incredible people in the Norwalk community, and doing our part to uplift Caribbean food!

Keep an eye out for our new menu items! See you all soon!

Thank you all for the love and support since we’ve opened up. We appreciate how warmly we’ve been received in the city of Norwalk. We literally could not have done this without the tremendous support of our customers, family, and friends.

That being said, Tamarind & Thyme is taking a short winter break through February ❄️. We aim to provide a safe service space for both our customers and our staff, and due to the weather, it has been hard to do that. We’ll be back sometime in March when the weather opens up and the vibes warm up.

In the meantime, we’re still fully available for catering and private events! Follow our catering page and reach out to book or learn more. Thank you for the continued love and support 💚🧡.

Thyme isn’t just another ingredient for us — it’s part of the story. Part of the flavor. Part of the reason we’re Tamarind & Thyme.

This tiny herb carries big Caribbean energy: warm, earthy, aromatic, and the secret to that “mmhmm, oh yeah” flavor you taste in so many of our dishes. It’s the quiet MVP of Caribbean cooking — subtle, warm, and the reason our dishes taste like home, a small leaf with a whole legacy.

Tamarind brings the tang. Thyme brings the soul.

Crispy fish, pickled heat, island spice…our Escovitch Fish Tacos aren’t playing around.

We took a Jamaican classic, gave it that Island Infusions twist, and wrapped it in a soft taco shell for the perfect balance of flavor and vibe. It’s bold, it’s fresh, it’s everything your taste buds have been waiting for.

Oh and adding a few drops of jerk fig jam set this over the TOP.
