The modern dating problem is that we’ve been trained to believe we should be able to identify the right option immediately.
We want the chemistry on the first date.
The certainty by date three.
The perfect alignment before we’ve even gotten to know someone.
It’s possible. But I’m sorry to say, it’s not realistic.
That’s why I think one of the most important shifts you can make in dating is moving from “How do I know if this person is right for me?” to “What can I learn by getting to know this person?”
That doesn’t mean ignoring your standards or forcing something that clearly isn’t right. It is about leaving room for discovery. And the only way to find your person is to stop trying to figure everything out before the relationship has had a chance to begin.
If you’re ready to date with more intention, DM me. I’ll tell you how private matchmaking approaches the process differently.
