The modern dating problem is that we’ve been trained to believe we should be able to identify the right option immediately.

We want the chemistry on the first date.

The certainty by date three.

The perfect alignment before we’ve even gotten to know someone.

It’s possible. But I’m sorry to say, it’s not realistic.

That’s why I think one of the most important shifts you can make in dating is moving from “How do I know if this person is right for me?” to “What can I learn by getting to know this person?”

That doesn’t mean ignoring your standards or forcing something that clearly isn’t right. It is about leaving room for discovery. And the only way to find your person is to stop trying to figure everything out before the relationship has had a chance to begin.

If you’re ready to date with more intention, DM me. I’ll tell you how private matchmaking approaches the process differently.

Proud to be featured by DatingNews.com in 10 Tips From Matchmaking Industry Experts, sharing a little about how I found my way into this work and what I believe makes someone truly great at it. It’s all for LOVE, but it’s certainly not for the faint of heart.

My contribution is #10: Turn Life Experience Into Insight. A decade ago, I was newly divorced with two young kids, trying to figure out dating again. I had no idea that chapter would eventually become the foundation for the work I do today. What started as personal experience became curiosity. Curiosity became studying people, relationships, attraction and connection. And eventually, it became Jillin’ It.

One thing I’ve learned along the way: Become a student of people before you become a matchmaker. Curiosity will always take you further than assumptions.

People are finding meaningful relationships outside the communities they were raised in. And yet, we still tend to use demographic similarities as shorthand for compatibility. But none of those things can tell you what it actually feels like to build a life with someone.

The more useful questions are:

How do you each define family?

What does marriage mean to you?

What do you want your life to look like?

Can you talk honestly about your differences?

Can you stay curious when something feels unfamiliar?

Sometimes the person who looks least like the person you thought you were supposed to choose ends up sharing the values that matter most. And that’s where the real conversation begins.

Thank you to Christine & Salt and everyone at 96.5 TIC for another great conversation on Love Line. 🎙️

Turns out, you don’t have to be hard to be powerful. Water made this masterpiece… slowly, softly, just by continuing to flow.

There’s something to be said for trusting what can happen over time.

Pretty good dating advice, too…

Apparently, every state has its own little personality when it comes to online dating. 😂 This map shows the words appearing most often in dating profiles across the U.S... and apparently Connecticut is talking about the “casino” while New York is talking about the “museum.”

It’s funny, but it also says something about how we date online: a profile can tell you a lot about what someone likes, where they go, and how they describe themselves. But it can’t tell you whether you’ll actually be a good fit.

Dating apps can introduce you to a lot of people.
I’d rather introduce you to the right ones.
That’s where matchmaking comes in.

I work with successful, relationship-minded singles throughout Connecticut and New York who are looking for something more intentional than leaving their love life entirely to an algorithm.

♥️ Private Matchmaking — personalized introductions based on compatibility, values, and what you’re actually looking for.

♥️ Love Coaching — thoughtful, strategic support for dating with more confidence and intention.

♥️ Love Club — a community for CT + NY singles who are serious about finding a relationship and want to meet people more intentionally.

If you’re ready to date a little differently, send me a DM or visit the link in my bio. 💌 I’ve got people to introduce you to.

A good morning text can feel like a tiny thing... but when you’re newly dating someone, it can become a surprisingly big source of anxiety.

Did they text today?

Why didn’t they?

Did something change?

Should I text first?

Is this a sign?

But early dating isn’t the time to measure connection by screen time. It’s the time to notice whether someone’s interest consistently turns into real-life effort: making plans, showing up, getting to know you, and creating experiences together.

Texting should support the relationship... not become the relationship. And if you’re building an entire emotional connection with someone you barely know through your phone, you may be getting attached to a version of them you’ve helped create in your own head.

So yes, send the “thinking of you” text. Flirt. Have fun. Just don’t let the space between texts become the place where your relationship lives.

Apparently, the LoVe CluB was looking a little too fun to leave alone. 😂 What started as a open to the public Zoom somehow became the setting for a little internet trolling from two very large creators.

Matt 🧠💞 who has nearly 900K subscribers, played the clips in my meeting, with his recap video reaching 300K+ views.

Then Joe Bartolozzi himself got in on the fun, with his 5.4M+ YouTube subscribers, and featuring me in his video reaching more than 3.4 MILLION views.

So yes, I was apparently an unsuspecting character in the content. 😂

But I think it’s pretty incredible that a room full of singles talking about dating, relationships, and love caught the attention of creators with audiences at that scale.

And while I cannot promise you’ll get hilariously trolled by a major YouTuber when you join the LoVe CluB… I can promise we’re not your average dating community. 😉

The LoVe CluB is for singles who are serious about getting serious, and want a more intentional, human way to meet people.

Come for the love. Stay for the laughs. 😂♥️
