Long, but important post:

In 2014 I decided to pursue a childhood dream and do something in the food industry. I decided to try my hand at catering and see where it leads. So with little to no experience in the food industry, other than knowing how to cook, I took $300 and put it in a business checking account only to find that over half of it would be gone by the end of the week after purchasing the necessary licenses and permits just to exist as a business.

In the first days of Zest, I was met with much encouragement and excitement, but at the same time there were some who questioned my decision and warned me of the risks and tried to steer me in a different direction. So here I am 9 years later so glad I didn’t listen to them and took the risk!

Over the past 9 years I’ve made some incredible memories and met some awesome people. I have had the opportunity to cook for and serve over 20,000 people! Often times while grocery shopping I would get stopped by people letting me know when and where they’ve had my food or my favorite someone asking me, “you’re that Zest guy, aren’t you?” My goal for Zest has always been to make people happy with food.

This will be a shock to most, but I say all of this to say that March 31, 2023 will be Zest’s last day of business. I know many people’s first response will be: Why? There are several reasons for this decision, but it IS NOT because business has been bad or because of the local economy. In fact, business couldn’t be better! Fortunately, for 9 years, I’ve been able to operate Zest completely debt free. All I know to say is that it’s time for me to close this chapter of my life.

On a positive note, I do plan to occasionally do Zest One Nights and cooking classes at various locations to be announced at a later time. You may even see me cater an event here and there.

To wrap up this post I want to say THANK YOU to everyone who has supported Zest in any way over the years! You’ve made Zest possible!

Our Thanksgiving catering offerings are live our our website. You'll be able make your selections and checkout all from there.

Here's a few things to note:

We have several different size options you can choose from: The serving sizes for each are listed on our website. If there are things you're wanting that are not listed, reach out to us and we'll work out the details.

All sides and meats will be prepped for "bake/heat and serve." We'll provide necessary instructions when you pickup your food.
All orders must be submitted by 11/20/2022 by 5pm.

Lastly, in order to be able to travel and spend time with our family, all orders must be picked up at Zest Catering the day before Thanksgiving between 12:00pm and 4:00pm or Thanksgiving morning between 8:30am and 9:30am. You'll be able to note whichever you choose prior to checking out.

The wait it over! Zest One Night: Country Kitchen is tonight! Doors open at 5:30. We’ll be here until 7:30 or until we sellout, whichever comes first!

Everything will be boxed up for takeaway. However, you can choose to dine in if you wish! Due to the high in-person demand, we won’t be taking these or call-in orders!

Today marks a big day for Zest Catering! It’s the end of year 8 and day 1 of year 9! It's been an incredible journey so far and it wouldn’t have been possible without all of our great customers over the years, many who have been with Zest from the beginning. So THANK YOU! I am excited for what this next year has in store!
